Terms of Service

By accessing or using the iStarPal application or website (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service. The Service is operated by Starclub Education (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

The Service is intended for students preparing for Cambridge IGCSE, Singapore O-Level, and Malaysian SPM examinations. Users under 18 must have verified parental consent before activating an account, as described in our Privacy Policy. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements or that a parent or guardian has consented on your behalf.

When you create an account you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe upon the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
• Distribute malware, exploit code, or otherwise interfere with the Service
• Attempt to circumvent the AI tutor’s pedagogical safeguards (for example, prompts intended to extract direct test answers without calibrated scaffolding) — such attempts may result in account suspension
• Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or its content

The Service offers AI-generated explanations and practice problems mapped to specific examination syllabi. While we work with experienced educators to validate quality, the Service is a study aid and does not guarantee any particular examination outcome. Do not rely on the Service as your sole source of preparation for a high-stakes assessment.

Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge Assessment International Education, Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level, and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) are trademarks of their respective owners. iStarPal is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any examination board.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Starclub Education and its licensors. You retain ownership of the content you submit (e.g., your questions and conversation history); you grant us a limited license to use that content to operate and improve the Service.

You may close your account at any time by emailing privacy@istarpal.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that risks harm to other users, our platform, or third parties.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Starclub Education disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated responses will be accurate in every case.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the competent courts of Malaysia, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence require otherwise.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via the email address associated with their account. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
